The DPT Academic Committee, NWIHS, comprising Dr. Saba PT, Dr. Tayyab Awan PT, and Dr. Ayesha PT, successfully organized a meaningful celebration of World Physical Therapy Day 2026, with enthusiastic participation from students across all DPT batches.
This year’s theme, “The Role of Physiotherapy and Physical Activity in the Prevention, Management, and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke,” highlighted the vital role of physiotherapy and physical activity in promoting cardiovascular health, preventing stroke, and supporting effective rehabilitation.
The event was held with the valuable support of HOD DPT, Dr. Lailma Maqbool PT, and under the special guidance of Principal NWIHS, Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, PhD.
The celebration began with Tilawat-e-Quran and the National Anthem, followed by a comprehensive theme presentation by Dr. Lailma Maqbool PT. A theme-based Model Competition was also organized, with DPT Batch 11 – 4th Semester securing the winning position for their impressive presentation.
The event concluded with closing remarks by the Principal NWIHS, followed by a group photograph of faculty members and students. An awareness walk was also organized to promote physical activity, cardiovascular health, and awareness about stroke prevention.
Congratulations to all the students, faculty members, and organizers for making World Physical Therapy Day 2026 an educational, engaging, and impactful celebration.
