An informative workshop on “Difficult Urinary Catheterization: Approach and Management in Trauma Situations” was conducted on April 15, 2026, at the Auditorium of Northwest General Hospital.

The session was led by Prof. Dr. Ehsanullah (Ex-Prof KMC & RMC), Prof. Dr. Aziz ur Rehman (Head of Department Urology), and Prof. Dr. Mian Naushad Ali Kakakhel (Head of Department Surgery), who shared their expertise on managing complex catheterization cases in trauma settings.

The workshop focused on:

• Developing a systematic approach

• Identifying underlying causes

• Choosing appropriate catheter types

• Stepwise escalation in management

• Recognizing when to stop and refer

A valuable learning experience aimed at strengthening clinical decision-making and patient safety.
