Prof Dr Sardar Alam
CHAIRMAN
Dr. Sardar Alam Khan is Consultant Neurology at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar. His role involves treatment of disorders of the nervous system, particularly concerning the brain and the spinal cord. He holds an interest in general neurology with special interest in treatments of stroke and epilepsy.
Prior to joining NWGH, Dr. Sardar Alam completed his training in neurology in the United Kingdom. He honed his skills at a variety of hospitals such asMiddleborough General Hospital, Newcastle General Hospital, Midland center for neurology and neurosurgery, Smethwick, Birmingham, and Atkinson Morley Hospital, Wimbledon, London.
Dr. Sardar Alam Khan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).
Dr. Sardar Alam Khan graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in 1980 He then went abroad for further studies and attained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), Edinburgh and later on was awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians(FRCP). He then stayed on in the UK to practice in the field of Neurology.

Malik Abdul Latif Awan
CEO
Malik Abdul Latif Awan is Director Laboratory at AHL and singlehandedly established the entire Laboratory & Diagnostic Service for the hospital. Malik Abdul Latif Awan graduated from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he completed his Bachelor of Science (1984). He received his certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology (1986) and the National Credential Agency as Clinical Laboratory Scientist for Laboratory Personnel.
Malik Abdul Latif Awan has worked in Lady Reading Hospital for eighteen years as a Microbiologist. In addition to being the director of the laboratory, he is also the Division Head of IT at AHL and is actively involved in overseeing the recruitment, day-to-day operations, and innovations in technology to ensure the up-to-date facilitation of the department. He is also a member of the HR & Remunerations Committee at the hospital.
Malik Abdul Latif Awan joined the hospital as a shareholder in June 2011 and is serving his second tenure as a director on the board with his first term spanning from 2018 – 2021 and the second one presently, from 2021 – 2024

Prof Dr. Mohibullah
DIRECTOR
Prof Dr. Mohibullah is Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon at the ENT department of Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar and joined AHL Pvt. Ltd since 2009. Dr. Mohibullah has been at Northwest General Hospital since its inception in 2009 and performs all major ENT surgeries (Otolaryngology surgery, Rhinology surgeries and Head and Neck surgery).
Over a career spanning upwards of 50 years of clinical experience, Dr. Mohibullah has held a number of positions at different renowned Institutions. Dr. Mohib has served on the faculty of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan as a Dean for a number of years. Additionally, he has remained an Administrator of Lady Reading Hospital and was a Member of Public Service Commission. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in Medical Education and Post Graduate teaching and examinations. He has also presented at numerous ENT conferences, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Mohibullah graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar in 1967. Following that, he undertook his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology in the United Kingdom at Hither Green Hospital Lewisham, Kent and Canterbury Hospital and Huddersfield Infirmary Hospital. Dr. Mohibullah obtained his FRCS in 1975. Dr. Mohibullah also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Otorhinolaryngology from University Of London in 1971.

Dr. Saeed Ullah
DIRECTOR
Dr. Saeed Ullah is serving as Professor and Head of the ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Department at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar and joined AHL as a consultant shareholder in 2009 . With extensive expertise in both medical and surgical treatments for conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck, Dr. Saeed Ullah is particularly focused on head and neck surgery.
A highly experienced ENT and Head and Neck Surgeon, Dr. Saeed Ullah is also an esteemed educator. He teaches at the Northwest School of Medicine as a Professor of ENT, contributing over 37 years to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Dr. Saeed Ullah graduated with an MBBS from Khyber Medical College (KMC) in 1978 and completed advanced postgraduate training in Ireland. He earned a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1983, where he was awarded a gold medal for his achievements. His specialization in Otorhinolaryngology includes a postgraduate diploma (DLO) from the same institution.

Dr. Tariq Jabbar Khan
DIRECTOR
Dr. Tariq Jabbar Khan is a Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon at, the Department of Surgery at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, and joined AHL as a consultant shareholder in 2009. Dr. Tariq Jabbar Khan graduated medical school from Khyber Medical College and then pursued his FRCS in Ireland. He then completed his Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from France as well.
Dr. Tariq Jabbar Khan is a well-regarded general surgeon in the region and has practiced internationally in the United Kingdom and the Falkland Islands in South America. He is also a Professor at the Department of Surgery at the Northwest School of Medicine and is actively engaged in supervising postgraduate trainees, medical officers, and house officers as well. He has also served as a member of the CM KP Committee for Swat Expressway Construction.
Dr. Tariq Jabbar Khan previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre in 2015 and was also a member of the HR & Remunerations Committee. He has also served two terms as a director on the board of the company with his tenure spanning from 2018 – 2021 and presently from 2021 – 2024.

Dr. Bilal Ahmed Sethi
DIRECTOR
Dr. Bilal Ahmad Sethi is a Consultant Neonatologist & Paediatrician at the Paediatrics Department at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre and joined AHL as a consultant shareholder in 2007. Dr. Bilal Ahmad Sethi graduated medical school from Khyber Medical College in 1992 and later did both his MRCP (UK, 1999) and Diploma in Child Health (Ireland, 1999). He is also a member of the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
Dr. Bilal Ahmad Sethi has vast experience in his field and has practiced in Ireland as a Locum Consultant for 10 years. After moving back to Pakistan and joining NWGH, he developed the Northwest Neonatal Simulation Centre (NNSC) at the hospital and also established the Neonatal Emergency Transportation System (NETS Zango).
Dr. Bilal Ahmad Sethi is also a Professor at the Paediatrics Department at the Northwest School of Medicine and has served three terms as a director on the company board spanning from 2012 – 2015, 2018- 2021, and presently, from 2021 – 2024.

Alexandre Fernandes de Oliveira
DIRECTOR
Alexandre Fernandes de Oliveira is a Chief Investment Officer in IFC’s Global Manufacturing Agribusiness and Services Department, Health and Education Division. In this capacity, he is responsible for the origination, evaluation, structuring and negotiation of IFC investments in the health and education sectors in Asia.
Alex rejoined IFC after three years with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where he was the Division Chief for the Industries and Services Division. At IDB, he led a team of professionals responsible for financing the industrial and service sectors across Latin America.
Prior to IDB, Alex spent eight years with IFC, covering global health and education sectors. Earlier in his career, Alex worked for J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank in New York, focused on mergers and acquisitions and debt capital markets.
Alex holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University; a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of São Paulo; and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil.

Fayyaz Ahmed Jarral

Mr. Fayyaz A. Jarral is a certified Director (LUMS), Certified M&A (AMMA-USA) & an internationally accomplished Big 4 Firm graduate, having a professional C-Suite career span of more than 20 years as “CFO Bank of Khyber” Director Finance and Company secretary LT Engineering, GM Finance and Investment NLC-GHQ, CFO AHCP, CFO & ED CKA Intl, Executive Director FF steel limited, Chairman ARMC for BOD KPEZDMC & Non-Executive Director Solar Sigma Limited” with expertise in complex multi-jurisdictional corporate planning and development. He is an active boardroom influencer in large, Public & Private organizations and a broad range of growing businesses, providing leadership of strategic solutions. He guides strong, commercial decision-making, underpinned by robust audit, governance, and compliance procedures. He is widely experienced, versatile, and collaborative.

Mohsin Aziz
DIRECTOR
Mr. Mohsin Aziz is from the third generation of a renowned business/ industrialist family hailing from Peshawar. After completing his studies and before taking over his family business, he acquired management and industrial training from Japan. He has extensive experience related to business, industrial and government forums. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of State Bank of Pakistan for two terms. He has also served as Provincial Minister for Commence, Industries, Minerals and Technical Education.
Mr. Mohsin Aziz has been a member of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. and Habib Bank Ltd. He has also served as a Chairman of All Pakistan Textile Manufacturer Association for two terms. Presently he is a senator representing the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the second term and is also serving as Chairman Senate Standing Committee for Interior.
Mr. Mohsin Aziz is also running a philanthropic foundation, namely Aziz Jan Foundation, comprised of a state of the art institute offering modern-day, quality education to the marginalized students of Peshawar, and services relating to the provision of daily meals to the poor patients/ attendants in the government hospitals of Peshawar etc. He has represented Pakistan in several international conferences/ forums held in Australia, UK, UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, China and other parts of the world.
