On October 17, 2023, Northwest General Hospital hosted a breast cancer awareness session at the Bank of Khyber Training Centre in Phase 5, Hayatabad, Peshawar. The session was led by Dr. Zara Mohammad, Consultant Family Physician, and Dr. Ayesha Amjid, Post Graduate Trainee in Radiology at NWGH.
The objective of the event was to raise awareness about breast cancer, emphasising the importance of early detection and preventive measures. Both doctors shared valuable insights and information with the attendees, stressing the significance of regular screenings and self-examinations.
Notably, the event went live via Zoom, enabling women to virtually attend from Bank of Khyber branches all over Pakistan. Mr. Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, Managing Director, Mr. Muhammad Asif, Group Head HRDG, Mr. Muhammad Jawad Zia, Head HRDG and Mr. Muhammad Zahid Jamal, Head Training & Development, BOK graced the event with their presence.
