The Department of Burns, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Northwest General Hospital & Research Center conducted an original research on the various uses of Betamethasone for different conditions, including acute differences. Despite initial scepticism from peers, the department persisted with its research and produced solid evidence and long-term follow-up. The research gained attention at the Plastic Surgery Association of Pakistan in Bahawalpur and was recognized with support at the International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies (ICOPLAST 2023). The department is proud of the work carried out by Dr. Amber Aazam, who presented on behalf of the department at ICOPLAST 2023. This original work has been recognized internationally.
